In 2007, this record label was re-launched as an imprint of the Island Def Jam Music Group with David Massey as its new CEO. This is an American label that is a subsidiary of the Sony Music Entertainment and managed by the Sony Music division of Nashville. It was founded in the year 1989 and specializes in recording country music. Some of the popular artists that this record label has produced include Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson and Brad Paisley. Earlier on, Arista Nashville had 3 other sister labels which included Arista Austin, Career Records and Arista Latin. It was also a subsidiary of the popular Arista Records but they dissolved. Both Arista Records and Arista Nashville are still under the Sony Music Group.
Interscope records is a recording label whose parent company is the Universal Music Group. It was founded in 1990 by Jimmie Iovine and Giorgio Saravia. Though it does not exclusively record country songs, that is one among the genre of music it records. Scotty McCreery, a country singer has been able to work with this label.
